About the album

"Jens Thomas can't let anything or anyone be -wheter it's his own piano, jazzhistory or his audience and certainly not himself." said the Frankfurter Rundschau newspaper. "Everything is converted into something new." added the ZEIT, whilst the Kölner Stadtanzeiger describes him as the "Jimi Hendrix of the piano" due to his invidualism and unconventional style of playing. The music of AC/DC on this album doesn't sound like typical loud rock but instead more like intimate ballads. Hard rock becomes lyrical chamber music, dimmed down to impressionist ballads which are fully improvised right down to their framework. "Highway to Hell" almost sounds like a fragile, sad lament. Old rock 'n roll tracks such as "The Jack" are freed from stylistic burdons and given a totally new minimalist form. Jens Thomas also surprises his listeners with his singin voice. He developed his own singin style - which combines falsetto and overtone singing with powerful rock bass - totally himself.
